Half our fleet are semi low loader, extending, and non extendable step frames and detachable neck low-loaders. They are specialist carrier trailers suitable for a variety of loads including plant, tractor, wings, truss, steel, rail and construction industry transport. As well as these single, double or triple extendible trailers, we also have a large number of standard flat / platform and curtainsiders, plus the shorter urban trailers. We offer a range of services for buying, selling, and renting HGV semi low loader trailers. Our trailers are available in both extendable and non-extending step frame types, and we also offer plant trailers, tractor, wing and truss carriers, and specialist trailers. Our inventory includes single, double, or triple extendible trailers, which are also known as trombone, teletrailers, multitrailers or extenders. Additionally, we have a large number of flatbed, platform, urban, and curtainsider trailers available for purchase or rent. We buy, sell and rent short or long term HGV semi low loader extendable and non-extending step frame, plant trailers, tractor, wing and truss carriers specialist trailers. As well as these single, double or triple extendible trailers, known also as trombone, teletrailers, multitrailers or just extenders. We also have a large number flatbed – flat, platform trailers, urban and curtainsiders.
The trailers on our large fleet often have multiple self steering axles, hydraulic double flip ramps, wafer decks, override steering and/or detachable necks. Our specialised low loader fleet is mainly comprised of trailers made by Broshuis. We also buy, rent and sell low-loaders. The large number of flat/platform trailers on our fleet are made by Montracon, SDC, and Dennison.
From our yard here in the UK at Bawtry, we also offer repairs, refurbishment, HGV / LGV testing, spares, service, test preparation, tachograph calibration and brake analysis for trucks, trailers, buses, tractor units, lorries and other PCVs. We are a DVSA Authorised Testing Facility and members of the Heavy Transport Association.
We are a family company working in the HGV transport industry since the 1950s. Harold John Hudson started the company in 1959 at Branton as an Albion Truck dealer and soon afterwards we moved to the current Bawtry site. In those early days John would deliver new trucks personally and then hitch a lift back after the delivery. Our company then grew steadily becoming a Leyland Trucks distributor in the 1970s. After the merger with DAF in 1987, we decided to concentrate on the sales and hire of trailers. For many years we were known as Trailer Supermarket. Today we have a fleet of over 1000 trailers and offer a range of services to the heavy goods vehicle and abnormal load industry. We are a privately owned company, and the directors are all still family members.
We have been hiring specialist trailers since 1970 and our large modern fleet of over 1000 trailers is always up to date with the very latest steering and extending technology. Over 200 of our fleet are low loader trailers. Trailers can be rented long or medium term or on spot hire for just one day if required.
We offer a wide variety of specialized trailers for sale. Our trailers often come with advanced features such as multiple steering axles, hydraulic double flip ramps, wafer decks, override steering, detachable necks, or SL technology. If you have a trailer you're looking to upgrade or exchange, we may be able to offer part-exchange options.
For over 50 years, we have been providing comprehensive service and testing for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) and Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV) in our fully equipped, modern workshop. Our on-site testing center is also available for your convenience. In addition, we offer repair services, spare parts, and refurbishments for commercial vehicles, trucks, trailers, and buses at our yard located at Bawtry.
