Urban or Short Trailer

Urban or short trailers are an HGV semi-trailer that has been developed to allow hauliers and operators access to city centres and suburban where space is limited, and a normal platform/flat trailer would not fit. Unlike their larger counterparts, urban trailers are engineered for agility with lightweight construction that enables swift acceleration and nimble cornering, making them ideal for delivering loads into tight locations. They can be fitted with a tail lift or a fork truck rear end for loading. Urban trailers are usually 10m in length rather than the 13.6 standard of normal flat/platform trailers. Urban extenders usually extend from 10-14m.

Urban extenders extend from 10060 – 14160 and have 3 lockable positions. Twistlocks to suit 1×20/1×30′ (closed) 2×20’/1×40′ (open) and they come with XL rated headboards. They are versatile trailers that feature BPW drum axles with self-tracking rear axle. In addition, they come equipped with 4 pairs of posts and sockets.
