Step Frame Platform is designed with a lower bed height ensuring it can transport high loads. The lower bed length also reduces the centre of gravity, therefore, increasing stability. For European operations where there are height restrictions, the step frame platform is ideal to transport the load and meet height restrictions.
3 Axle
A Step trailer has a main deck which is lower than the height of the tractor unit’s fifth wheel height. They are also commonly known as drop frame trailers, step frame trailer, step flat trailer and semi trailer. They are distinguishable from low loaders by having a single lower deck height. They are for enabling high loads to be moved without the total height of the loaded trailer exceeding the legal limits for normal road transport.
